A beautiful blonde hair woman with beautiful blue eyes named Colleen Goode noticed something different from one of the customers that she was waiting on that didn’t look right. This particular customer looked sad. The customer’s name is Max Taylor, a Navy Veteran, who served in the military for 15 years, just got laid off from his job from working at Furniture Factory Bar & Grill in Huntsville, AL. Colleen, a waitress at Waffle in Huntsville has a conversation with Max.
Colleen: Hi I’m Colleen your waitress and I will be taking your order. Are you ready to order or do you need more time to look over the menu?
Max: (Melancholy) Can I just get a glass of water please?
Colleen (Concerned): Sir, is everything alright? You don’t look like everything is alright.
Max: (Depressed) I’m alright Ma’am but thanks for asking.
Colleen: (Very Concerned) Sir, are you telling me that you came to Waffle House just to order a glass of water. Something is wrong now what’s the matter?
Max (Opening Up): Well, I just got laid off from my job that I’ve been on for 12 years and I’m a Navy Veteran. I’ve served on active duty for 4 years and in the reserves for 4 years and worked on staff for 3 years. I’m really depressed because me and my wife just separated from each other. I’m sorry to bore you with my problems Ma’am.
Colleen (Relieved): Sir, you didn’t bore me at all. Thank you for your service. Order anything off the menu that you would like sir. Don’t worry about the bill, it will be taken care of.
Max: Ma’am you don’t have to go through the trouble. I will pay the full price for the cost of my meal.
Colleen: Sir, not another word. This bill will be taken care of so don’t you worry about a thang.
