Ms. Bates is from and resides in Manchester, NH. Whenever Ms. Bates grandchildren (Tommy and Lindsay) visit, Ms. Bates always make chocolate chip s’mores cookies in big paper bags for her grandchildren with their names on them. Ms. Bates also knits her grandchildren really cool shirts for her grandchildren, too. Ms. Bates husband Jack Bates passed away 5 years ago. Ms. Bates keep the late Mr. Bates memories alive by keeping a family scrapbook full of pictures from when Muriel and Jack met for the first time and up till the time before Jack passed away.

Whenever you visit a home like Ms. Bates when you ask Ms. Bates for anything, Ms. Bates literally will tell you, “Yes help yourself.” Ms. Bates enjoys everyone’s company. Ms. Bates and her grandchildren (Tommy and Lindsay) let grandma know how much they appreciate her for all that she does for them. Grandma and her grandchildren chat with each other.

Tommy: Thank you for all that you do for us.

Muriel: Aww, you’re very welcome!

Lindsay: Grandma you always make us wonderful shirts and awesome chocolate chip s’mores cookies. You’re the greatest! 💝

Muriel: 😳 I have wonderful grandchildren who love it when I knit them shirts and make them cookies. Thank you, Tommy and Lindsay, for doing jigsaw puzzles and word finder with me XOXO’s.

Ms. Bates recall how her late hubby Jack would give their grandchildren money whenever they would help out around the house. Mr. Bates would always say, “When our grandchildren visit, it doesn’t hurt to spoil them a little.” Mr. & Mrs. Bates will always remember how they helped raised their grandchildren when Mr. & Mrs. Bates children were laid off from work and had to move back home.
